3189222 - Unable to change the Litmos Domain name URL but getting error "Sorry that website address is already in use"

Symptom

I'm trying to change the Litmos domain for my org's login page but getting error message "Sorry that website address is already in use" but no other customer is using that domain
Why am I unable to save my new URL / domain name for my Litmos instance because it shows already in use?
