3189337 - Unable to modify the dimension date type when importing data from Salesforce into SAP Analytics Cloud(SAC)

• The data type will be assigned automatically when importing data from Salesforce.
• It is not possible to change it.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 

1. Create a model from a Salesforce Import Connection.
2. Choose a query from Salesforce.
3. Notice all the data types of the fields are showing directly and cannot be changed.

This is the current product design.
