3189515 - Only One Record Gets Saved On Adding Multiple Spot Bonus

Symptom

In the UI it is possible to add multiple non-recurring pay components/Spot bonus using the Award Spot bonus/Award One Off payment button. However, upon save/when this goes to the approval, only the first record is saved/shown.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Employee's Profile;
  2. Go to the portlet of Pay Component Non-Recurring (or Spot Bonus);



  3. Click on the button to "Award One-Time Payments";
  4. Add the details;
  5. Click on "Add One-Time Payments" (or Add Spot Bonus);



  6. Insert the details for the second Spot Bonus and "Save";
  7. See that only the first record got saved. If there is a workflow configured, only the first record goes to approval.

Cause

Currently, adding multiple spot bonuses via UI is not supported. Only one pay component non recurring/spot bonus can be created each time.

Because of that, to guarantee consistency and avoid misunderstandings, the "Add Spot Bonus" button will be removed from portlet's edit mode and Take Action.

Resolution

As of 2H 2022, the "Add One-Time Payments" (or Add Spot Bonus) will be removed from Pay Component Non-Recurring portlet edit mode and from Take Action > Spot Bonus to prevent the creation of multiple records at the same time. 



Therefore, via UI, it will only be possible to create one Non-Recurring Pay Component record at a time.

Currently, to add multiple spot bonus/pay component non recurring at once, you may use the 'pencil' icon on the portlet or use imports.

The only drawback is the transaction will not trigger any workflow if submitted via Edit Button.
