3190636 - How to clear the SAP Analysis Office cache?

Symptom

A general error message is shown when a user opens a report with Analysis for Office

"Element X of container metadata Y unknown"
"Invalid program status\: BICS_PROV_MASS_GET_INIT_STATE"
"An exception occurred in one of the data sources."
"Dereferencing of the NULL reference (RS_EXCEPTION-000)"

The issue may occur in specific machines only, not necessarily all machines.
