3190781 - The production storage location in the material master is not copied into the production order

You have maintained the production storage location for the material under the MRP2 tab of the material master.

However, when you create a production order which has the material as a component, the production storage location is not copied into the production order. The storage location field of the component is still blank.

1. Maintain the production storage location in the material master of the component.
   
   
2. Create a production order containing the component.
   
   
3. Check in the production order and find the storage location of the component is blank.
   
   

The production storage location is not copied into the production order because the component is not defined in the corresponding storage location.

Actually, when you maintain a storage location where the component is not defined as the production storage location, there will be a warning massage as below:

The system will not prevent you from doing so but this may cause the mentioned issue.

In order to make the production storage location in the material master copied into the production order, you need to make sure that the component has also been defined in the storage location.
