3191262 - How to Report Referral Data - Recruiting Management

This article describes how to report Referral data via Ad Hoc Report Recruiting V2 and ODATA API, and its known limitations.

In Ad Hoc report > Recruiting V2, go to any of the following entities depending on whether you want to report the data by Application, by Candidate or By Requisition respectively:

'Referrals linked on Application'
'Referrals linked on Candidate'
'Referrals linked on Job Requisition'

Report the fields Referred By First Name, Referred By Last Name, Referred By User ID, and Referral Type.

Here are the different Referral Types and what they mean:

• AGCandRef - candidate is referred and owned by an agency for a certain period of time.
• AGCandFw - candidate is referred and owned by an agency to the requisition they are forwarded to.
• CandFw - candidate is forwarded by an employee from either candidate profile or job requisition.
• Employee - candidate is referred via Refer Job to a Friend.
• JobBoard - candidate is referred from a Job Board.

Notes:

The values of AGCandRef and AGCandFw depend on which type of agency ownership you have: Ownership for requisition or Ownership for duration.
CandFw does not mean an Employee Referral. An Employee referral can only come from Refer Job to a Friend and will have a Referral Type 'Employee.'

It is expected that First Name, Last Name, and User ID fields are blank if the Referral Type is AGCandRef or AGCandFw, since they are external users who are not included in your UDF (User Data File). 

Sample Generate Report Preview in Ad Hoc Reports:

The report structure of reportable fields (like referral data) differ in ODATA API Data Dictionary and Ad Hoc Report, that closely resembles SFAPI Data Dictionary. This means there are some fields you can report in Ad Hoc but not in ODATA API and vice versa. The closest ODATA Entity that can return referral data is 'CandidateEmployeeReferral' but even that only contains 'Referral ID' and 'Referred By' fields without Referral Type.
