3191791 - Field value is not flowing from Recruiting to Onboarding - RCM/OBX

A custom field in RCM is mapped in the Recruit-To-Hire Mapping Tool, but the value is empty in Onboarding.

There are a few potential root causes. These are the ones we have identified so far:

• The field is a custom field that is not made reportable in Provisioning.
• The field is a picklist field, and the picklist associated to the field has been modified to a different picklist. The label still displays in RCM, but if we report on this field and the job requisition, it's not shown the label it's just the option ID of the value. This means that RCM still stores the old value.

CAUSE 1:

All custom fields in RCM must be made reportable in order to work correctly, and that includes to flow the values correctly as well. After the field is made reportable, make sure to sync the data and try to initiate onboarding again.

CAUSE 2:

If the picklist is modified in the template in RCM, the system will still store the option ID of the previously selected value. This is a system designed behavior. Hence, if the picklist is modified and you wish to send the value to Onboarding or Employee Central, you have to select a valid option in the source, and after that the value should flow successfully.
