Symptom

  • The execution of a DUMP or LOAD command fails on in-memory databases when the config parameter 'net password encryption reqd' is set to 1.
    dump database imdb to "/tmp/imdb.dmp"
    go
    Backup Server: 4.172.1.4: The value of 'allocated pages threshold' has been set to 40%.
    Backup Server session id is: 10. Use this value when executing the 'sp_volchanged' system stored procedure after fulfilling any volume change request from the Backup Server.
    Backup Server: 5.16.2.2: Client-Library error: Error number 44, Layer 4, Origin 1, Severity 188978561028: ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error:

    The attempt to connect to the server failed.
    Msg 8009, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ASE16', Line 1:
    Error encountered by Backup Server.  Please refer to Backup Server messages for details.
    An error message "Cannot open a connection to the server 'ASE name'." written by a Backup Server or sybmultbuf process should be found in Backup Server errorlog.
