While creating an export data connection from SAC to BW/4HANA or BW using OData Service connection, you receive the following error when doing the mapping between the source and target dimensions.
- At least one Unit or Currency dimension has invalid mapping. Please make sure that these dimensions are mapped to a correct value or dimension, chosen in the measure settings.
- SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.20.12
There is one tricky code defect in the dimension mapping logic, which will mess up the target measure and source measure.
For example, if you have a SAC measure QUANTITY and a BW infoobject 0QUANTITY, then in some cases the system will read the SAC measure while it's supposed to read the BW infoobject.
The development team is working on the fix. It is planned to be fixed with the QRC3 2022 release, which will happen in August. Please be noticed that it is just a plan and may change due to technical issues.
The workaround is that you may have a different name for your SAC measure "QUANTITY", such as "QUANTITY_L", even if your SAC measure "QUANTITY" is not used for the export.
