Symptom

Into SAP S/4Hana system you receive updated shipping notification (delivery) from Ariba. But that update not saved in SAP backend side due to error:
ARBERP_MAP 072 - Inbound delivery only supports operation type 'new'
Using the same ARBERP add-on (now built-in in S/4hana) in SAP ERP systems the same error with same inputs might not occur.
