3194630 - RATs are "sleeping" with Messages 1002 "cs_ctx_alloc failure..." in ASE log - SRS 16.0

Symptom

  • All Rep Agent Threads in the active ASE have the "sleeping" status.
  • Re-starting Rep Agent Threads does not help.
  • After multiple expected 9414 errors (due to the active SRS being down), the following errors start reporting in the active ASE log:
    (CI-Info) Message: 1002, Severity: 2 cs_ctx_alloc failure diagnostic data SYBASE: [$SYBASE] SYBASE_OCS: [OCS-16_0] LANG: [en_US.UTF-8] 
  • At the same time, multiple error messages are logged in the $SYBASE/ASE-16_0/install/sybinit.err file:
    The context allocation routine failed. The following problem caused the failure: Creating a TSD/TLS failed.
  • SRS logs reports no errors.
