3194684 - How to hide the field Type Personal when adding a new goal - Goal Management

Symptom

The field "Type: Personal" appears when adding a new personal goal.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

 SAP Successfactors Goal Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the instance
  2. Go to Goals/Objective
  3. Select any goal plan
  4. Add a new personal goal
  5. The field "Type: Personal" appears in the Add Goal pop-up window

Cause

This is because "allow-group-goal" has been set to "true" in the goal template.

Resolution

Change "allow-group-goal" from "true" to "false".

When a user adds a new goal, if they are allowed to add both personal goal and group goal, then the field will appear automatically to differentiate the type of these two goals.

Please refer to the before-and-after below:
The goal pop-up window when you add a goal before the xml change, personal goal and group goal both appear here:

And when you add a personal goal, the field "Type: Personal" appears:
