3195102 - Running SDI mssql_server_init.sql fails with error "Ad hoc updates to system catalogs are not allowed."

Symptom

  • Setting up Smart Data Integration (SDI) replication from a MSSQL Server 2012 to HANA Cloud via SDI.
  • Initilizing the server script <DPAgent_root>\LogReader\scripts\mssql_server_init.sql.
  • When executing the script, seeing the following errors:
    Msg 259, Level 16, State 1, Server XXXXXXXX, Line 2
    Ad hoc updates to system catalogs are not allowed.
    Msg 259, Level 16, State 1, Server XXXXXXXX, Line 2
    Ad hoc updates to system catalogs are not allowed.
    Msg 259, Level 16, State 1, Server XXXXXXXX, Line 2
    Ad hoc updates to system catalogs are not allowed.
