3195172 - "The save was unsuccessful because entity employmentInfo contains an error" in Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping Tool - RCM/OBD/EC

When trying to map fields in Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping Tool, every time tries to save, we get an error:

"The save was unsuccessful because entity employmentInfo contains an error. Please see the message strip at the top of the page for error details."

There is a field mapped in the transformation template that doesn't exist in a template. E.g. a field is mapped from Offer Approval in the transformation template into Employment Info, but there is no Offer Approval template created in the system.

Although the Recruit-to-Hire Mapping Tool is more powerful than the transformation template, the XML is still validated against the instance. Hence, it is required to make sure that the configuration in the transformation template is also correct.

To solve this issue, it will be required to either remove the mapping or to create the field in the source so that the mapping works correctly. As a suggestion, it is a good practice to review the mappings in the transformation template to ensure that it is configured correctly.
