Symptom

When you generate a new key for a specific algorithm for encryption you receive the following errors:

  • Invalid key for algorithm:AES256CBC
     [EXCEPTION] java.security.InvalidKeyException: Illegal key size or default parameters

  • Invalid key for algorithm:AES256CBC
     [EXCEPTION] com.sap.idm.util.exception.IDMCryptographyException: Invalid key for algorithm:AES256CBC
