3195880 - You Cannot Edit the Layout of a Site or Location

 You are trying to create a Layout for a Site or Location, but when you select the relevant Site or Location, the Edit Layout button is greyed out.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
2. Go to the Locations view.
3. Find and select the relevant Site/Location ID.
4. You can see the Edit Layout button is inactive.

You have not enabled the Site or Location to a Storage Location.

You have to choose the Logistics Relevant check box to enable a Site to be used in Supply Chain Management. This option is only available on site level. You use this to enable your site for production and warehouse processes. The system then creates a supply planning area and enables the Storage Location check box. Please activate the Storage Location check box for the site once you have activated the Logistics Relevant check box for the Site. Save your changes. You will thereafter be able to Edit the Location.
