3196398 - IQ connections with open cursor cannot be dropped - SAP IQ

Symptom

drop connection <connhandle> command could fail to drop a connection under one or more of those conditions:

  • IQ connections with open cursor. 
  • Connections come from an SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) server.
  • Client processes in ASE cannot be killed with the regular KILL command.
  • Kill client processes with the WITH FORCE option in SAP ASE was not tried.
