  'Close Periods' App fails with error 'Incorrect period in control rec.' for a preceding year , for example the Period and Fiscal year entered is 04 / 2022 but the log shows control record is 012021

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
• Material Master / Product Master.

1. Access the app 'Close Periods'  
2. Input the Company Code
3. Input Period  , Fiscal year  ( For example Period 04 / Fiscal Year 2022   ) or Date
4. select 'Check and Close Period'
5. Execute

The Company Code involved has the Current Period as  Period 01 2021 .

It is not possible to "Jump" from Period 01 Fiscal Year 2021 to Period 04 / Fiscal Year 2022 in one step.

Please use the Close Periods app to close the period 01 2021 and repeat for Periods 02 2021 , 03 2021 , 04 2021 until the current period for example 04 2022 is open
