3197703 - spool error "Could not pass request to host spool system" when using the access method M

When sending the spool request outside SAP by using the output device with access method M and email address is not specified, the output request in transaction SP01 shows status 'Error'

In spool event log, the error "Could not pass request to host spool system" happens. Or "File () could not be opened".
