3197951 - Predefined objective for managers and non managers

Symptom

When have two set of predefined objective for managers and non managers, is it necessary  to create two form in objective one for manager and another for non manager?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Resolution

There is no need to create 2 separate Goal Plan if the "objective form" you are referring to is a Goal Plan. But it is up to you on how you want to achieve it. You will only need 2 PM Form Templates. Please refer to sample illustration below:

For Managers:
2022 Performance Review (Managers) with Goal Section with "2022 Goal Plan"

For Non-Managers:
2022 Performance Review (Non-Managers) with Goal Section with "2022 Goal Plan"

Then, assuming in the "2022 Goal Plan", have there 2 main goal categories:
Manager_Category
Non-Manager_Category

It is possible to  utilize Beta Goal Import (instead of allowing Managers and Non-Managers create their own goals), in the CSV file, assign the goals but utilize the GOAL_CATEGORY column with "Manager_Category". This way, this is the distinction for goals assigned to Managers. Then, for the Non-Managers, utilize the GOAL_CATEGORY using the category ID Non-Manager_Category. Therefore, with just 1 Goal Plan Template, it is possible to  assign goals to Managers and Non-Managers having their distinction by their goal category.
