3198052 - Missing the Withholding Tax Return File

You are trying to obtain a Withholding Tax Return file, but no file is generated.

SAP Business ByDesign

Creating the Tax Return Run:

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Common Tasks view > New Tax Return Run subview.
3. Select the Tax Return Arrangement ID: XYZ (XYZ represents the Tax Return Arrangement ID) and select the date.
4. Click Save > Set to Active > Schedule > Save and close > Save and Close.
5. A Tax Return will be generated.

Checking the Tax Return created:

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Tax Returns view.
3. Go to Withholding Tax Returns. 
4. Select All Tax Returns. 
5. Search for the Tax Return ID that was created.
6. Click View All > Release > Save. 
7. Click Download in the Attachments tab. 
8. You will see that there is no file to download. 

You have to check if the supplier names are of length 30 characters or more and hence, they are being rejected by the system. There's a system constraint that does not allow suppliers of character length 30 or more.

You can check the information in the below steps:

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Tax Returns view.
3. Go to Withholding Tax Returns. 
4. Select All Tax Returns.
5. Search for the Tax Return ID that was created.
6. Go to Tax Return tab.
7. You will see the details under Supplier column.

You have to rename the suppliers with a reduced length name and reschedule the run.
