Symptom
When updating a text field on a separate posting language to the default language and then switching back to the default language you see the following entered in the field: "[Not translated in selected language]".
After saving without removing "[Not translated in selected language]" you find in the audit trail the following entries old value COMMON_NOT_TRANSLATED and new value [Not translated in selected language] for the respective field.

Reproducing the Issue
- Create a Job Requisition with multiple posting languages and default language.
- Select from the Posting Languages a language other than the default language.
- Select a text field that has no value and add sample text.
- Select from the Posting Languages the default language.
- Note in the default language version of the posting the same text field now has "[Not translated in selected language]".
- Upon saving you will see the entry into the Audit Trail of the requisition the below values:
Cause
Posting Languages are to allow Job Requisitions to be translated in various languages, there must be a value entered in each language for the corresponding field if at least one language has an entry.
The system pulls the system label key COMMON_NOT_TRANSLATED and enters the value based on your entry in Manage Languages for that value when moving back to the default language if there is no value entered as a warning to add a value.
Resolution
At the moment this is an expected behaviour, posting languages is there to allow translation of entries into fields. It is not a tool to allow different versions of the same Job Requisition based on language. This means values should be entered into all posting languages if one field for one language has an entry.
NOTE: It is possible to remove the entry and then save changes, however moving between posted languages will enter the value again.
If you wish to change the entry "[Not translated in selected language]" into something more suitable you can do so via the Manage Languages tool, however note this Label Key (COMMON_NOT_TRANSLATED) may not be unique to Recruitment Management use and may be entered elsewhere on the platform.
If this is something you wish to see improved or changed please raise an enhancement request on our influence portal for Recruitment Management.
