3198468 - Create index ddl syntax that produced in higher ASE version fails to run in lower ASE server patch level -SAP ASE

Symptom

When capturing create index DDL from ASE running a later version and trying to run the same ddl in a lower ASE version it is failing with the either errors below:

  • Msg 9865, Level 16, State 23:
    Server 'servername', Line 1:
    CREATE INDEX failed. INDEX_HASH_CACHING is not supported for ROW_CACHING disabled table 'tmp_t1'.

  • Server 'servername', Line 4:
    'index_hash_caching' is not a recognized CREATE INDEX option.
