3199502 - Wrong Number of Attempts in "User Exam Data (CSV)" report

The "User Exam Data (CSV)" report, shows multiple attempts even though:

• Exam > Settings > Exam Attempts Limit.
• Item > Online Content > Online Content Settings > Number of Failed Attempts Allowed for an Item.

is set as a number lower than the value shown on the report.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Go to Learning and access the item with an exam >
2. Open the Exam but do not complete it >
3. Repeat the step "2" a few times >
4. Go to Admin> Report >
5. Search “Assessments” and click on “User Exam Data (CSV)” >
6. Run the report filtering the affected exam >
7. Note that "Number of Attempts" column is regarding the times the exam was opened, not closed.

For any non-resumable exam, if the user refreshes/goes back or closes the browser, it is considered an attempt.

This is the system expected behavior, to avoid facing this scenario:

1. Go to Learning Admin > Content > Assessments >
2. Select the affected item and click on the right button "Menu" >
3. Select the tab "Settings" >
4. Switch the button "Resumable" to "Yes" >
5. The exam will open at the last question previously answered and the report will not increase the "Attempts value".
