3199976 - Error when archiving batch master records using LO_BATCH

When trying to archive batch master records by scheduling an archiving job in Manage Archiving Variants using LO_BATCH ILM object, the following error occurs:

• MCH1 batch stock exists

SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Error 'MCH1 batch stock exists' means that there is still a stock segment existing for batches.

There is still a stock segment existing for batches.

Before archiving the batches, you will have to delete the stock segments. Stock segments can be deleted by data destruction, data destruction object MM_STO_BATCH_DEST (Batch stock destruction).

Please execute data destruction to delete the stock segments and try to archive the batches again.
