SAP S/4HANA Cloud 

 

1. Open app Data Monitor;

2. Run task Balance Carry Forward, you get error like below:

 

You have inconsistency in your transaction data, and the FS item have breakdown type 3/4, which required breakdown Partner unit. But the some partner units are missed for FS item.

There are several solutions when the breakdown was changed:

1. Change the breakdown type to '2' instead of breakdown type '3', '4'.

Then the balance carry forward task carry forward the data with missing subitem from the previous year to the default subitem in the new fiscal year

2. Post correction postings journal entry in the old year by the correct document type 01 and posting level 0C (with +/- amount, with initial / non-initial partner). Then open app Check and Correct Breakdowns of Transaction Data, and add the missing subitem to the previous year data before executing the balance carryforward.

Note: Consistency check of transaction data does not manipulate released data (= posting level space). So you need to run Validation of universal journals on each period and make sure all the data are correct.
