3200396 - How to Use Single Quotes in FlexibleSearch Queries

Symptom

You want to use single quotes (') in a Flexible Search query but it is not supported and you get the following error (if you try to use \', the same error appears):

  • "FlexibleSearch query is not legal"

    Exception message: The index 1 is out of range.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
