Symptom
- Table not displaying the correct values.
- Updating a BW Query to display "Reverse Sign", does not change the values of the Table widget on existing Story.
- When updating an SAP BW Query to display "Reverse Sign" for the Key Figure, the Table based on the BW Query in SAP Analytics Cloud, does not reverse the sign.
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
- In Bex Query Designer, create an SAP BW Query with 2 Structures.
- In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a BW Live connection to the SAP BW Query with 2 Structures.
- Create a Story, and add a Table, and a Chart on the SAP BW Query with 2 Structures.
- Save the Story.
- In Bex Query Designer, edit the SAP BW Query with 2 Structures, and set the Key Figure to display "Reverse Sign"
- In SAP Analytics Cloud, open the Story again, and notice the measure sign is not reverse on the Table, but it is reverse as expected on the Chart.
Cause
- SAP Analytics Cloud stores some meta data of the SAP BW Query locally in the visualizations and in the Story. When changing the SAP BW Query, the locally stored meta data cannot be updated, resulting in the change made in the BW Query not reflected in the Story.
Resolution
- The Story needs to be re-created to pickup the change made in the SAP BW Query.
