3200523 - How to perform exact match on Solr search containing special characters in Storefront

Solr is not allowing to search using special characters such as "+", "-", ".", "/" within search terms.

For example:

A standard Tire size could be of the form "225/50R16". Searching with such a term causes Solr to search for "225" and "50R16" as two separate search terms.

Two product numbers such as "12345.1" and "12345" and searching on term "12345.1" will cause Solr to look for "12345" and "1" instead of the full product number.  Product 12345.1 and Product 12345 both can be searched out.
