3200555 - Workflow syntax errors after upgrade

Symptom

  • Custom Workflow data type (for example BAPIRET2TAB) is missing after upgrade in PFTC/SWDD transaction.
    AND
  • Following errors occurred when loading the container:
    XML import of container '****' failed
    Error during deserialization
    The data object could not be created:.....

  • SAP_WORKFLOW_RESTART running for long time and high CPU utilisation in the system (related to workflow tasks and SAP_WFRT user).
    AND
  • Following syntax errors are occurring in custom programs, function modules, workflows.
