Symptom
After an employee performs a time recording, you see the time type of the recording appearing as "Generated Premium" when opening the Time Account Balances report.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to workcenter Business Analytics.
- Enter the view Design Reports.
- Search and open the report Time Account Balances.
- Filter the report to find the employee time recording and execute the report.
- Go to the view facet of the report.
- Add the Time Type column.
Here you can see the value in the column displayed as "Generated Premium".
Cause
One possible cause for this behavior is that the time record is an overtime, and due to the rules in the time recording profile of the employee it is being calculated with a premium pay.
When a premium pay is generated because of a time recording profile setting, the system posts the time with an automatically created time type "Generated Premium".
Resolution
The system works as expected.
In order to check the time recording profile rules, please follow the below steps:
- Go to the Business Configuration workcenter.
- Enter the Overview view.
- Search and open activity "Time Types - XYZ" (where XYZ represents the country code).
- Enter the sub-activity "Maintain Time Recording Profile".
Here you can check the overtime rules, as well as the thresholds which will generate premium pays for the time recordings.
