When accessing an assigned item, rather than the cover page being the initial landing page, the item details screen is presented. This is a change between 'enableCourseHome' and 'enabledCourseHomeBlended' on the 1H 2022 release.

As of 1H 2022 release, the New Course Home experience was enhanced. It is expected behavior of the system to land on the item details screen rather than the cover page.
