3201009 - A query referencing temporary table is performaning poorly - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A query referencing temporary table and having variables is slow on:
    • ASE 16.0 SP03 PL10
    • ASE SP03 PL11
    • ASE SP04 PL01
    • Due to suboptimal query plan.
  • The query is fast on previous releases.
  • Statement Cache is configured, but the query is not saved to statement cache.
    sp_configure "statement cache size", 1111 (a number greater than zero).
  • New configurable parameter 'temp table statement caching' is set to default (1).
  • Previously, trace flag -467 was in use.
