3201581 - Pending leave request has days deducted from Time account before approval

• A time off request has been submitted and is not yet approved.
• However, the leaves are deducted from the Time account. Is this expected?

1. Request for an absence as a user, and the absence is sent for an approval
2. Before the request gets approved, notice that the Time off workbench indicates that the balances are already deducted

This is an Expected behavior

When a Time off request is sent for approval, the number of days are deducted / locked up to ensure that the workflow request goes through whenever its approved by the approver.

Note: 

• Yes that´s standard behavior from the beginning of time off
• If the workflow is declined the time account postings are removed again. All that balance checks already happen at the moment the absence is approved. Let´s assume an employee has 10 days balance. if you now create a 8 days absence in a pending status, the system only allows you to create another one with the remaining 2 days. Otherwise - if the first pending absence would not allocate balance - the employee could create multiple pending ones and after Workflow approval - can enjoy many vacations
