Symptom
While you transport your the application(A) on your source tenant to the same application(B) on your target tenant, after the transport is finished, only bookmarks of application A are visible.
Is there a way to keep the bookmarks of application B to be visible after the import ?
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud 1.0
Cause
This can be achieved by changing settings.
Resolution
When you import the tgz file from application A to application B, do not select “Drop Objects”, but make sure “Update existing object” is selected.
If you do not want users to see application A's bookmarks, but you still want to update application B using application A , you need to check "Update existing object" and you may want to use any one of these workarounds :
1. Delete all application A bookmarks before you export application A to the tgz file. This method can make sure no bookmark will be transported.
2. You may create all the application A bookmarks as "private" (isGlobal to false) bookmarks and do not share these bookmarks with anyone (maybe these bookmarks are just for your testing). So if you export and import application A to any other SAC tenants, these application A bookmarks will always be private. Only your account can view/apply/delete these private bookmarks. Other accounts in these SAC tenants cannot view/apply your private bookmark. For these accounts, it looks like application A has no bookmark at all.
