3203283 - Error message CO575 shows up when creating a production order

Symptom

You are creating a production order using app Create Production Order. After saving, there is an error message CO575 "Create order network: only internal numbers allowed to be assigned".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

The error massage shows up because you are creating a production order which only allows internal number assignment, for example, collective orders. However, the order type you are using is configured to use external number range.

Resolution

There are 2 possible solutions:
1. In SSCUI 102004 - Define Production Order Type, you can change the current order type's number range to an internal one.
2. Use another order type that uses an internal number range.
