3203583 - Is it Possible to Create a New Purchase Category?

You wish to create a new Purchase Category.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.

2. Go to the Overview view.

3. Search and open the activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.

4. Under Account Determination, select Accounts Payable.

5. Select the In Transit tab.

See table with Purchase Categories S - Service Purchases, F - Fixed Asset Purchases, M - Material Purchases. You would like to create a new one.

It is not possible to create new Purchase Categories. We support a standard set of Purchase Categories which cannot be extended.

You can use the G/L Account substitution PDI feature to check whether that meets your requirement.
