3204675 - Profile image behaviour in JAM/Work Zone profile settings

Symptom

  • My Work Zone profile picture is not syncing from SuccessFactors.
  • What is the default profile Avatar in JAM/Work Zone?

Environment

  • SAP Jam Collaboration
  • SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone

Cause

The people widget, the feed entries, author information, and other information get the picture from Work Zone/JAM directly. The shell gets the picture via this API call.

Resolution

  • By default, your profile image consists of your initials within a circle. This appears for users that don't have a picture uploaded in Work Zone/JAM. The accent colour is chosen according to the first letter of the name.
  • It is not possible to sync profile pictures between SuccessFactors and Work Zone after off-bizx.

Note: currently it is not possible to batch import profile pictures for all users in SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone.
