3205064 - How to download content files uploaded to iContent SFTP?

After files are already imported to with the Import Content tool, how can they be downloaded again?

There is no built in tool and this will require either accessing via the SFTP URL or via an SFTP client.

1. Go to Content > Content Objects > Search and access the content object record > Launch Method tab. Get the filepath from the Content URL field, ignore everything prior to "self-managed".
   
   
   
   
2. Now with your SFTP client or via the SFTP URL, log on to your iContent server and follow the path to the launch URL
   
   
   
   

3. Download the folder to your PC. If the content is SCORM or AICC, download the full root folder of the content in case the content will be used in another Learning tenant. If the content is a PDF, MP4, PPT, or other static content, the exact file can be downloaded.
