3205066 - SAP HANA XS Administration Tool: SAML Identity Provider List is empty despite adding IdPs

Symptom

As per section Add an SAML Identity Provider of the SAP HANA Administration Guide for SAP HANA Platform, you maintain SAML identity providers (IdPs) using the XS Administration Tool but the list of IdPs remains empty:

Attempting to re-maintain an IdP results in the following message:

Error while saving Identity Provider data
SAML provider <IdP name> already exists. Please choose another name!

Navigating to the Security Console from within HANA Studio, you can see that the SAML IdPs have been maintained:

However, users are unable to successfully authenticate using the inconsistent IdPs.
