3205132 - HTTP/2 protocol version not supported in SOAP Receiver Adapter

Trying to connect to an receiver endpoint using the SOAP receiver adapter and you see the following symptoms:

1. From the relevant traces captured as in  1514898 - Troubleshooting SAP Process Orchestration / Integration, you can see:
   
   Communication over HTTPS/PROXY. Handshake error; Additional info com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.net.TraceWriter@3c9bb684
   [EXCEPTION]
   iaik.security.ssl.SSLException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: internal error
   
   
2. Running a curl command against the endpoint curl -v <url> --proxy <hostnam>:<port> would give an output of :
   
   ALPN, server accepted to use h2
   Using HTTP2, server supports multi-use
   Connection state changed (HTTP/2 confirmed)
   
   
3. Opening the endpoint in a browser and checking the Chrome Dev Tool (F12) → Network → Protocol we can see the protocol used by the website is h2.
