3205256 - HTTP error during proxy handshake

Symptom

The SAP Web Dispatcher is configured to use PROXY to access External System, like:
wdisp/system_X = SID=<SID>, EXTSRV=<External System>, SRCURL=/XXX/, SRCSRV=*:*, PROXY=<proxy host>:<port> 

"503 Service Not Available -- HTTP error during proxy handshake" error occurs when access the External System through SAP Web Dispatcher:

Meanwhile, following error can be seen in web dispatcher trace file (dev_webdisp):
