Symptom

SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Provisioning (IPS) job fails with the following error message:

Caused by: com.sap.cloud.ips.connector.exception.ProvisioningRuntimeException: Error during execution on behalf of tenant with ID: Caused by: com.sap.cloud.ips.runtime.exception.ProvisioningException: Can not read entities from source system: <GROUP NAME>
Caused by: com.sap.cloud.ips.connectors.api.ConnectorException: Connector cannot process more entities due to irreparable error
Caused by: com.sap.cloud.ips.connector.exception.ProvisioningRuntimeException: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException:
JCO_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Initialization of repository destination <GROUP NAME> failed: Opening connection to backend failed:
<GROUP NAME> group not found 
*********************************

For example if the <GROUP NAME> is LG:
