3207219 - Some Images cannot be exported from a Webi report

Symptom

  • Some images cannot be exported to pdf from a Web Intelligence report
  • The image URL is stored in Oracle database as CLOB.
  • The image displays in the Web Intelligence report but shows a blank cell when exported to pdf. 
  • In the Webi Intelligence logs, we see the following:


    **ERROR:ctBlobManager:Unsupported protocol : data:image/jpeg;base64 <etc>
    ctBlobManager:FindFromSerializedId: 0.007
    Error=Unsupported protocol : data:image/jpeg;base64 <etc>
    **ERROR:repeng:REPDFLibDriver::OpenImage can't load image : [REPDFLibDriver.cpp;1168]
    repeng:REPDFLibDriver::OpenImage: 0.015
    Error=REPDFLibDriver::OpenImage can't load image :
    **WARNING:repeng:Can't load image [REGraphicRender.cpp;1045]
