3207716 - Setting AllowFlatPresentationForHierarchyNodeVariables introduced in Analysis Office

A new setting called AllowFlatPresentationForHierarchyNodeVariables is available in AO 2.8 SP14 and higher versions.

The setting AllowFlatPresentationForHierarchyNodeVariables is set to FALSE (unchecked) by default.

Default behavior with setting FALSE/UNCHECKED

If there is no hierarchy selected for the Hierarchy Variable (HV), the Value Help of the Hierarchy Node Variable (HNV) shows the values of the first hierarchy of HV:

If there is a hierarchy selected for the HV, the Value Help of HNV shows the values of the selected hierarchy:

New behavior with setting TRUE/CHECKED

If there is no hierarchy selected for the HV, the Value Help of the HNV shows all the values in flat presentation:

If there is a hierarchy selected for the HV, the Value Help of HNV shows the values of the selected hierarchy (the behavior is the same with setting AllowFlatPresentationForHierarchyNodeVariables TRUE or FALSE):
