3208476 - Unable to Cancel the Purchase Order due to System Crash

You are unable to cancel the Purchase Order because a dump is being triggered.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Go to Purchase Orders view.
3. Search for the Purchase Order ID.
4. Click in Edit button.
5. Click in Cancel Purchase Order button. 

The dump is triggered.

You need to ensure that the communication arrangement with the Supplier is successful. Otherwise the system prevents the cancellation being output by triggering the dump.

Following the steps below you can check if the communication arrangement is being maintained correctly:

6. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
7. Go to Purchase Orders view.
8. Search for the Purchase Order ID.
9. Click in Edit button.
10. Navigate to General tab.
11. Double-click in the Supplier ID.
12. Navigate to Communication tab.
13. Navigate to Collaboration subtab.
14. Click in Maintain XML Settings button.
15. Navigate to Technical Data tab.
16. Navigate to Outbound subtab.
17. Click in Check Connection button.

If you get the error messages below, the communication arrangement is not being maintained accordingly:

• Checking connection failed
• Ping failed
• Error accessing service; Service Ping ERROR: Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("ICF Error when receiving the response: ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT") ()

First option: you can change the Output Channel for the canceled Purchase Order.

1. Open the Purchase Order.
2. Click in You Can Also button.
3. Maintain another Output Channel.

Second option: if you need to use the communication arrangement with the Supplier as XML, you need to maintain it accordingly.
