Symptom

You may get the below warning when you run ALTER TABLE to change column datatype.
How to check the validity of the default ?

1> alter table testtab modify col2 varchar(300)
2> go
Warning: a default (object id 1232004389) is defined on column 'col2' being modified. Check the validity of the default value after this ALTER TABLE operation.
