After HANA Upgrade to SPS 06 you observe the CPU utilization frequently spiking to ~100%. The CPU resources on the system are small and from the runtime dumps you observe that CALL_SYS_STATISTICS.STATISTICS_SCHEDULABLEWRAPPER is responsible for the CPU spikes.
The scenario matches the situation described in Note 2889270 - High CPU Usage by Embedded Statistics server with CALL _SYS_STATISTICS.STATISTICS_SCHEDULABLEWRAPPER. However, you have already set the "threadpool" parameter indicated in the note and have not had any issues with this pre-upgrade.
