While importing or editing compensation information, warning message pops up:

An associated business rule was not resolved because one or more parameters ([pay-component]) for identifying and updating the target record were unavailable. Consider reviewing the business rule configuration and update it as necessary.

In the rule trace there is no errors.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Through import:

1. While logged in as an user with permission to trigger rules during import, go to 'Import Employee Data';
2. Select 'Import Data' and entity 'Compensation Information';
3. Select a file and validate it;
4. Warning message appears in the top.

Through UI:

1. Go to the profile of an user;
2. Go to Compensation Information portlet and click on edit;
3. Edit some information and click save;
4. Warning message pops up.

There is a business rule under compensation information element configured to check a pay component, with the expression "The rule selects one entry from the collection "Compensation" where..." assigned to one or more pay components under the same block.

In the example below it is possible to see that more than one pay component is being checked by the rule in the 'Set' expression:

When there is a rule configured this way and the employee that is being updated does not have the mentioned pay component assigned to their compensation information, the warning message appears.

Reconfigure the rule and keep only one pay component selection on each expression. The warning message will also not appear if the employee has the pay component mentioned by the rule assigned to their compensation information.
