3209561 - Registering the DP Agent to HANA using agentcli: Agent Host name, exception 2110004: Error invalid address: getaddrinfo, rc=-2: Name or service not known

Symptom

  • The Data Provisioning (DP) Agent can't read the HANA registration information, error message is:
    • 2022-06-01 10:48:26,951 [ERROR] DPFramework | AgentConnection.submitRequest  - Request Failed for ADMIN_IS_AGENT_REGISTERED Context: Connection has not been initialized yet.
  • framework.trc shows:
    • 2022-05-31 15:49:44,007 [ERROR] DPFramework | WorkerThread.processRequest  - com.sap.hana.dp.adapter.sdk.AdapterException: Executing SQL statement "create agent "DP Agent Name" protocol 'TCP' host 'Agent Host name ' port ####" failed with SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot connect to agent: DP Agent Name at Agent Host name:#### Context: Failed to connect to agent at Agent Host name, exception 2110004: Error invalid address: getaddrinfo, rc=-2: Name or service not known
